IVE BEEN DOWN THE GARDEN - AGAIN….
I’ve been down the garden watching birds
The little long-tailed ones that live in herds
They hang upside-down
Like little feathered clowns
They are very pretty, also very sweet.
I’ve been down the garden watching moles
Which is hard ‘cos they appear to live in holes
They can’t be very big
But I know where to dig
I have to say I really love a mole
There’s a big furry mouse in the compost bin
That’s because we’ve been putting fish skin in
He might be a rat
But I don’t worry about that
And I’d like him for a pet, before I eat him.
