I'VE BEEN DOWN THE GARDEN
I've been down the garden
Eating snails
I especially like
The ones with tails
I crunch their shells
With my new front teeth
And inhale their smell
Sort of molluscey
I've been down the garden
Sucking slugs
Especially when they're fat
From eating bugs.
You can't crunch slugs
But they're nice to suck
I take my teeth out first.
There's a nice nesting box
Down the garden
With blue tit's eggs
Lots and lots
But they're rather small
So I wait till they hatch
And they're easy to catch
I eat them all.
